Come visit us, we're open and would love to tell you our story

It started with Harry Paskalidis, a Greek immigrant working as a logging camp chef who had a dream of one day opening a restaurant. After years of hard work, Harry, along with his three brothers Paul, Mike, and Billy finally opened Little Billy’s Steak and Lobster House at 2nd and Nanaimo.

From the beginning, ten more locations were in the Lower Mainland and Little Billy’s became a recognizable name. During the past thirty three years, Little Billy’s has kept its doors open in one form or another through good economic times and bad. Finally, Little Billy’s nestled on a side street located in a residential area and thus changed its name to Little Billy’s Hideaway. During this time the Little Billy’s Hideaway Pizza and Little Billy’s Hideaway Salad (LBH Salad) become famous. For 17 years it was a favourite of local neighbours, a place where they could relax.

On March 27, 2007, the restaurant fell victim to a fire which levelled the building and two stores beside it. Little Billy’s was completely destroyed. Now Little Billy’s food (and the family that creates it) could only be found at family events and at functions catering to the customers who could not live without the familiar Greek touch.

Determined to start again. Harry, Irma, their son Billy, and now grandson (little) Billy undertook the daunting task of finding a new location, a new concept, a new look, and a new menu. Through courage, dedication, and hard work this large close-knit family has worked to combine the favourite dishes valued by their customers over the years with new flavours created by Chef Harry. And thus Little Billy’s was reborn at 6785 Hastings St.

In 2022, Chef Harry along with his wife Iram Paskalidis, after 47 years of running the restaurant decided to pass the reins of Little Billy’s to his nephew Leo Paskalidis and with his wife Natalie Paskalidis. Natalie and Leo undertook the task of renovating the restaurant and adding a modern touch while preserving the beloved Greek recipes, atmosphere, and legacy of Little Billy’s.

Today, Natalie and Leo would like to invite you to experience the atmosphere and Greek recipes that stood the test of time. Come visit Little Billy’s, where you’re likely to see familiar faces of the Paskalidis family working hard dedicated to preserving the traditions and legacy of Little Billy’s.
